I am still in disbelief as I write this blog post – I have been named one of Australasia’s Top Wedding Photographers of 2022! Words cannot express how honoured and grateful I am to be recognised among such a talented group of photographers.

The competition was fierce, with some of the best wedding photographers from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region submitting their work. The judges were some of the world’s leading wedding photographers, which made the task even more challenging. Awards are a scary thing, especially in something as subjective as photography, but it’s a damn pleasure to be recognised for the thing I’ve been working crazy hard at for the last 10 years.

As a photographer, I pour my heart and soul into every shot that I take. It’s not just about capturing a moment; it’s about telling a story through my lens. Being recognised by such a prestigious panel of judges, and being named top 5 in the Single Shot category and top 30 in the Portfolio category is a dream come true for me.

I owe this incredible achievement to my clients, who trust me to capture their special moments on their big day. Without them, none of this would have been possible. Their trust in me pushes me to strive for excellence every time I pick up my camera.

I also want to thank Sony for presenting these awards and recognising the talent within our region. It’s an honour to be associated with such an esteemed brand.

To my fellow winners, runners-up, and finalists – congratulations! Your work is inspiring and pushes me to become a better photographer every day. Let’s continue to push boundaries and create beautiful memories for our clients.

Being named one of Australasia’s Top Wedding Photographers is an achievement that will stay with me forever. This recognition motivates me to continue pushing myself creatively and striving for excellence in everything that I do.
